The grip socks are the tell-tale margin item: GBP 2.50/pair, mandatory, and REUSABLE: keep them in the car and never buy twice: a family of four rebuying socks every visit donates GBP 10 a time to the park. The other honest note: one hour is genuinely enough: trampolining is exhausting in a way kids don't predict: the 2-hour booking mostly buys 40 minutes of sitting down at the cafe, and most parks' toddler/quiet sessions run cheaper AND safer for under-5s than open jump.
What The Trampoline Park Calculator Works Out
- Visit cost: jumpers multiplied by the session price (about GBP 12 for an hour, GBP 18 for two) plus mandatory grip socks at GBP 2.50 a pair. The socks are reusable, so a family of four rebuying every visit gives the park GBP 10 a time for nothing.
- Worth knowing: off-peak weekday sessions run 20% to 40% cheaper, toddler sessions are the only sensible slot for under-5s, and one hour is genuinely enough because trampolining exhausts kids faster than they expect.
- Safety honestly: parks produce real numbers of sprains and fractures, mostly from collisions and awkward landings. One person per trampoline, no double-bouncing smaller kids, flat landings before flips and feet first into the foam pit.
- Grip sock price (advanced): the GBP 2.50 assumption made editable. Socks from one chain generally pass at another, so the real long-run price is close to zero.
- Off-peak discount (advanced): the percentage saved on a weekday, term-time or toddler session against the weekend price, applied to every jumper.
- Cafe and extras (advanced): the captive-priced coffee, slush and lockers that follow the soft-play rulebook. Added to the visit, the per-jumper figure and the monthly totals.
- Visits per month and monthly spend (advanced): the jump and cafe cost multiplied by how often you go, excluding the one-off socks, with the annual figure alongside. Enter 0.25 for a quarterly treat.
- Membership versus pay as you go (advanced): unlimited-jump memberships typically run GBP 20 to GBP 35 a month per person. The calculator compares the monthly membership bill for all jumpers with your pay-as-you-go spend and shows the break-even visits per month, usually around two. Run that sum after the third organic visit, not in the foyer glow of the first.
- Party package (advanced): parks bundle the jump hour, food and a party room at GBP 15 to GBP 22 a child. The card totals it for your group so you can see what the bundle costs against a plain visit.
